Thanx prit1 for the comment. It's both appreciated and encouraging.

I am havin' a blast customizing my pup :D .Here's another image showing some recent changes I made.

Image

1. Changed the launchbar icon from a black Apple to a blue Apple.

2. Added the shutdown/logoff button to Wbar with an OS X icon.

3. Changed my Home icon on the desktop.

4. Changed my Trash icon on the desktop.

5. Wbar now resides at bottom of screen ala Mac.

6. Launchbar at top ala Mac.

Prit, remember when I was having issues installing Macpup? Well, this is one heck of a work-around :D .

Introducing Teen Mac Pup  LOL

Nice, juan. Two things to suggest:

1. visit http://www.kde-look.org and search for Mac-like icon sets. You might be surprised at what's available.

2. use Gimp to make the background of the LED's for the clock transparent - just a suggestion.

Was checkin' out KDE-Look last night and found some very cool icons
I was also thinking the very same thing concerning the menu bar clock.
Great minds think alike.... 8)

Thanx!

More mods to my Teen Pup

#427 Post by Meshica7 »

Hello folks.

Been doin some IceWM theme mods.I combined and altered elements from both Abby-Mac and DARKT. I call it
Abby-Mac Dark.It is still in testing and not yet ready. There are a couple of small tweaks left but I thought I would share for both suggestions and comments. The buttons in the windows need some work and there are also some vertical lines appearing in the menus that I need to sort out. Also shown is Wbar with Glossy Black backbar.
Thanx!

gtk theme: xfce winter
This was taken from zenwalk. I modified it to make the font bigger.

jwm theme: jwm-winter
personalized theme created to go with xfce-winter gtk. jwm tray icons from the Nuvola icon set

mimetype icons: Dropline Nuovo!
The full set is available from here. I've used the svg icons only and replaced duplicate icons with symlinks and added symlinks for .pet, .pup and one or two other mimetypes. I also replaced the folder icon with one from the Discovery theme (taken from zenwalk). The original Discovery theme is available here

wallpaper:01139-deepcoveatdusk

NB the dotpets below sets puppy to use the icons/themes by default .All you have to do is restart xwindows to see the changes. If you want to change the back that can be done via theme selectors/changers and through the ROX options dialog.

Nice job, JCoder24. 8)

Here's my latest effort, with ttuuxxx's modified EZpup-4.0v5, MU's modified gDesklets for Dingo, my own icon set and a suitable background to match my Dark Ruby IceWM theme, too.

That truly IS a nice one jcoder! JWM has never, ever, looked so delightfully beautiful IMVHO. Stellar in fact. I wished Barry would give considerable thought to making that the default JWM theme for one of the up-coming Puppies. That shade of blue is so very much more attractive than grey---even though I have to admit that his grey has been tastefully redone compared to prior years.

Like the looks of yours as well WhoDo! Awesome and... well, "powerful"! :)

Myself? I've been bitten by the "Fluxbox Bug" recently and have grown to using that on my systems along with wbar. Talk about going from one opposite extreme to the other, eh? LOL!

Amicalement,

:) The diversity continues . . .

I am using ye olde seagull background, the default icons
and JWM taskbar on autohide and the JWM - Back-vg (that was a bit hard to find - in JWM themes)

These are all in Dingo.
