How to use my HP Deskjet 3740 in Churchpup?

#1 Post by grouchyhermit »

I have downloaded the hp drivers as the pup package, do I still need to use CUPS to get my printer working? Little help here! :P I'm using Churchpup, finally decided to stick with that distro. I think it's based on the Puppy 3. something. Sorry to be so vague, blame it on the pain pills!

yup, you'll still need CUPS to print. HPIJS is just the HP drivers, and CUPS is the printing system.

HPIJS-2.8.2

Thanks guys. I thought I had it last night but it didn't work, seems that 3740 was the only driver they didn't have. I'll follow that thread in my next go round in a few minutes. Thanks again for the help!!
