Still based on Puppy 2.13, Icepup Deluxe 1.2 has Firefox 2.0.0.12 and Abiword 2.4.6.

How it works. . .

You just burn the iso to a CD. When you shut down the first time it prompts you to create a pup_save.sfs file. If you have room, I wouldn't go any smaller that 128 MB (the larger the better). If you would like, I can post a generic pup_save.sfs file on my website. Would you be interested?

Thanks todd. because I already have many pup-save files created with 3.01 puppy version. I want start Icepup without loading any of these pup-save files (maybe can be corrupted or not?) so I want create a new, dedicated pup_save file to use with icepup.

puppy pfix=ram I can start icepup as live.cd or the command-line is different for icepup?

I frequently use one of your versions of 2.13 that came with no browser and little else.
These mini-pups can be used as another stepping stone in the process of learning
Puppy, as well as linux for newbies like me. It's a pleasure, as well as being
educational to build on any Puppy that has been to the "dog groomer" for a clipping.

Icons on the desktop in larger Pup isos serve a purpose for many, but painting
your own canvas on a clean desktop adds challenge,mystery and fun.
Thank you Todd.

Thank you Puppy Dog. You have been a great forum friend! :D

Dingo asked:

The following all work:

acpi=off
Default on for PCs >2001, may give boot/shutdown probs.
ide=nodma
Booting from some CF cards needs this.
pfix=ram
Run Puppy totally in RAM ignore saved sessions,
pfix=<n>
number of saved sessions to ignore (multisession-CD),
pfix=rdsh
exit to initial ramdisk commandline (do not pivot_root),
pfix=usbcard
boot from PCMCIA USB drive,
pfix=clean
File cleanup (simulate version upgrade).

As far as a blank pup_save.sfs file, the more I thought of it, it wouldn't help you. Any file I created would have hardware setting different than yours. However, booting using pfix=ram would work (as you have inferred).
