Batmon not working on full install of pupeee

Batmon works fine when I boot pupeee from the SD card, but it doesn't work with a full install to the SSD.

The full install scenario results in the +_ % problem.

Any idea how to fix this?

Ahh. Found the problem. rc.local was empty, so I just added

modprobe battery
modprobe ac

to it and restarted. Now batmon works like a charm on my eee.
