multilingual console support in emulator

#1 Post by magerlab »

I still looking for a multilingual console support

i managed to set up Russian fonts to be shown in real console
but in emulator this does not work
i can not type anything in urxvt in rusiian
or in rxvt there are strange signs

i know that Konsole( emulator from kde has a built -in support for switching input- output encodings.
is it possible to have konsole without kde as a separate programm?

you can try to use xterm
http://puppyfiles.ca/dotpupsde/dotpups/ ... /xterm.pup

If that works I can post an info on how to use it intead of rxvt.
No idea if it works for russian, I use it to display special german characters äöüß.

You can try compiling mlterm. I compiled it before, but on an older Puppy (2.14).
