Happy Puppy Christmas
I have been trying to go around saying "Humbug" in my best
Dickensian accent.
Not working . . .
Many thanks to everyone who enjoys, makes, improves
and supports Puppy
Woof Woof
Merry Christmas
It's my experience that attitude, whether good or bad, is a top-down thing. I'd just like to say to you, Barry, and Lobster and raffy and Dougal and tempestuous and Pizzasgood and Guestoo and MU and all the other guys who made this distro what it is, Thank You for letting me be a part of the fun.BarryK wrote:Yeah guys, best wishes ...and stuff ...I never know what to say on these occasions. Anyway, I reckon you are a great bunch of guys, who visit this forum, so do have the absolutely best Christmas season.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year, one and all.
Cheers

To Barry and all those "crazy" puppies out there...Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
I find it fascinating to watch a new idea being developed such as Puppy for the blind and all the others...some new, some older.
I'm looking forward to the new year....just think what we'll know tomorrow.
EDIT: woofwoof
Be Well,
Eric/caneri

"Santa died for your MasterCard."
It is commercial.
Originally just like the Nordic tree, Father Christmas
was a manifestation of the Green Man (a symbol of nature)
Coca Cola wanted to change from a green drink to a red (well reddish)
So they made Santa wear a red costume.
That is marketing.
. . . and that is story telling
Some of the festivals around now include
Diwali (Hindu Festival of Lights)
Eid (End of Ramadan fasting for Muslims)
I don't know much about Hunaka?
Maybe a story . . .
Brought up as a Catholic
I remember as a child, Christmas was a time of great joy
(not everyone has that privilege)
Great food, like Christmas pudding and being allowed
a tiny taste of alcohol
Presents.
A real tree with lights on it, inside the house.
Relatives.
We need the magic. The goodwill.
Do you have a story about your favourite holiday/Christmas?

Merry Christmas and whatnot! We did the whole presents thing early here, due to timing issues, so I'm already on my seasonal sugar high and having a jolly old time
To the anti-Christmas twits: Beware!

*no, I didn't make these. Just so that's clear
To the people who don't celebrate Christmas but don't feel obligated to tear down those who do, have fun with whatever you're doing, whether it be celebrating something else or just spending another day at the office.

Here is an absolutely stunning photo of the winter solstice, for your desktop background.

I too would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, or what ever you celebrate, as well as a happy New Year! I hope everyone's holiday is enjoyable and safe. That each and everyone of you may be able to spend time with family and friends. Enjoy good food and fun. God bless you all, no matter what you use for your God's name.

I am a great believer in atheists.
Some may even exist.
