you must be joking did you read it "complete off-grid Linux puppy for £499. It was developed for the third world "
ya like 3rd world countries could aford $1150 Australian for a pc, come on now, we all know that they have $200 laptops now in the usa just for that, which is ideal for third world countries and yes you can power a laptop off a $40 solar cell. That really sickens me when people talk about way to get third world countries online, really first shouldn't they improve the education systems and feed them and cloth them, The last thing they need is $80 a month phone bill when they only make $80 a year,

Sub_title: Another low power and small Linux computer |
|
There seems to be a rash of small, low power machines being announced. This one - the Linutop - runs from USB, comes with Mandriva and costs 349Euro. Might be good for the planet, but not necessarily for the pocket. Presumably a Puppy USB drive would work just as well as Mandriva, or possibly even better.
