RAM and Puppy 3.01 footprint Subject description: Trying to reduce Puppy 3.01 footprint
Hi all,
just to play a bit I'm trying to develop also a Puppy 3.01 - FPC + Lazarus iso.
Now, installing all the softwares I need I got a 290 Mb iso. Trying it under a vbox machine with 256 Mb ram and 256 Mb swap it failed to boot because out of memory. 512 Mb ram and 256 mb swap did the magic and it boots with no problems, even if load time is a bit high.
Now, I would like to know if there is some escamotage to try and reduce footprint of such as derived distro.
Thanks _________________ Bye
