New name for myPup?

#1 Post by Rhino »

I would like to have some input and/or advice on a name for the web 2.0-based Puppy. I used myPup for the alpha and it seemed somewhat acceptable (no laughing and finger pointing at least). It does seem to lack a certain flair. I am willing to rename this project if a good name would fit it better. Any suggestions?

I think Barry (or someone) had mentioned that the puplets should contain pup in the name.

The following are some names that I brainstormed--clearly assistance is needed. :-)

myPup --> Current name
iPup --> seemingly appropriate, but taken by an excellent version
gPup --> Puplet based on google?
guppy --> food for tropical crustaceans
WebPup
Littlepup
Pupular

Feel free to suggest!

Thanks,

Rhino

RIA is for Rich Internet Applications, which is the essence of Web2.

So RIApup may be appropriate? I guess it is, as you are the expert when it comes to rich media, like the production of tutorial videos. I would love to see your pup include (by default?) such tools.

Elsewhere I am toying with one of those tools, but now I think the proper way to start is to ask your advise first. :)

heh...too close to RIAApup for the likes of this music fan. And forget about Rich Internet Pup, for obvious reasons ...

I like myPup, but Webpup would be my other choice.

PupIt (pupIT, pup-it, PUP_it, etc)

before you can "google it" you must "pup it"

also, sounds like "puppet" which by design always do what you tell them to do.
