Sub_title: Need to unplug/plug adapter each boot, then setup wireless config

I have a SMCWUSBT-G-CA wireless usb adapter. I can get it to work using ndiswrapper, though it's a little trickier than most. It requires 2 drivers to be loaded, net5523.inf and athfmwdl.inf. After these are loaded, I have to physically unplug, then plug in the adapter. Then I can proceed to set up my wireless connection.
However, when I reset the computer (btw, I'm using a full install of puppy to hda1) I have to go through all this again. As far as I can tell, I'm hitting "save" everywhere that it's an option, but still no go. This is something of a pain to go through every time I boot up...
