Want to make a new distro; need your help

#1 Post by Joydeep »

Dear Puppy developers,

Since long I was searching for a linux distro which have no problem with old hardware. There is DSL but I am not satisfied.
I am looking for a system which can at least provide a GUI not bloated but just useful.

I am happy that Puppy has the features which I have been searching for.
I am very much interested to make a distro based on my own concept. I am not in favor of a shiny Desktop oriented one but a little monster which will have all the packages which are required for my job and interest. That's why I like to know how Puppy works from an USB and how can I make such a Puppy like distro ?

Could any one please suggest ?

I read your website and basically if i was you i would use the "fatfree" puppy at my site www.ttuuxxx.com its 62Mb it and makes a great starting point.
I'm actually impressed with all you'vr done with that older pc, I will be releasing a Fire Hydrant light once i get a few applications downsized. Well have fun
