I wonder what's going on here? The actual game has been downloaded 7 times, so far, but the background music 40 times!

Thanks Muggins for this, have included it in Ecopup puplet, and hopefully HanSamBen (edupup derivitive) for the little ones. It very good for developing the little ones problem solving and lateral thinking skills.....all good skills to have as future Linux users. Very Happy

@rebbi1, no need to thank me...I only packaged it...as someone else pointed out, in another thread, the developers that provide us with free programs are the ones to thank.

@ecomoney, the very reason why I try & upload as many games as possible, as I see children as the future pupsters.

Thank you then for making this available to us easily Muggins, this game makes my partners little ones very happy (as well as giving them a knack for avoiding danger!). I will hopefully have time to include it in the latest ecopup (0.7.3) which I am working on now.

EDIT: I removed my built of RocksNDiamonds_SDL, because muggins' built works just fine (see post below) and it's 0.5MB lighter.
I leave only X11 version in case someone wouldn't like to have additional libs.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I love this game, but that built doesn't work with my Lupu-528 unfortunately, so I compiled it from source.
X11 version requires nothing, but there's no sound and music.
SDL version requires libmikmod, smpeg, SDL, SDL_image, SDL_mixer and SDL_net.
All of them are available here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=68175&sid=41bec2aeb73bf28fda1757880ed6ce6b

I'm not experienced in compiling stuff, but everything seems to work well, except keyboard shortcuts in x11 version (must be controlled by mouse). In-game keys work ok.

Greetings!

Thanks SFR. You could have saved yourself some trouble by checking the exec line of the rocksndiamonds .desktop file, then running in a console:

Code:
/usr/share/RnD/rocksndiamonds
/usr/share/RnD/rocksndiamonds: error while loading shared libraries: libpng.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Easily rectified by running:

Code:
ln -s libpng12.so.0.42.0 libpng.so.3

I think I've seen this one, but like I said - I'm not experienced and I didn't know how to handle it.
Thanks a lot for this hint - there are many apps I encountered this (or very similar) error with and I was ready to recompile them all, ha ha Laughing

Greetings!
