Puppy for superseded Xboxes?

#1 Post by BlackAdder »

This article:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/4275448.stm
argues for the re-cycling of Xboxes that will be superseded by the Xbox-360. Does anyone have Puppy runing on an Xbox?
Any opinion on the practicality of re-cycling them and shipping them to e.g. Africa?
There is a version of Damn Small Linux built to run on the Xbox, called XDSL, so it should not be a huge task to migrate Puppy.

If I had an Xbox, I'd play it, not put Puppy on it. Well, actually, I'd sell it and use the money for something else, as I'm poor at the moment. I guess it's a good thing I don't have a car to worry about too  All the high gas prices can do to me is get school canceled, and I'm not complaining

I used to walk to school... 5 miles, uphill each way... Actually, it was only about three miles.

Dude, I live 13 miles from school. That's an hour and a half bike ride without a backpack loaded with books. (I know, I did it once just for fun) Forget walking. And even if I could take my bike, chances are it would wind up vandalized quickly.

Forget about the students, what about the teachers. How would they get to school if gas is hard to find? :)

Don't the teachers live in the school?

Believe it or not, I actually saw the school's most die-hard teacher shopping at Wal-Mart like an ordinary person, so I'd guess no. Also, some of them get off on a tangent and talk of "home," but if they lived at school, they'd just say school.
