Ohio LinuxFest 2007

#1 Post by Rhino »

I think I will be able to attend the Ohio Linux Festthis year since I'm not coaching any sports this fall! I was wondering if there are any Puppy users in the Midwest US that are planning on attending?

A couple of Members of my LUG do the annual pilgrimage to Ohio for the Ohio Linux Fest. I may join them this year but I'm still not sure.

Those same members are organizing an Ontario Linux fest in October There I will be for sure.

I don't think I'll be able to make it. My son's soccer game was rescheduled for Saturday so now he has 2 games on Saturday several hours apart. Uggh! Have fun and try to pick up all the Linux swag you can carry.

Well,

I'm back from the Ohio Linux Fest and I think that the balance of the conference was good. It had good atendance, good presentations and good sponsors.

I had the oportunity to talk to the Gnome guys, Jon 'maddog' Hall, The Fedora developers and many other participants, speakers and sponsors. I even had the opportunity to "play" with the OLPC (one laptop per child) computer.

If you live around Ohio and didn't go this year, you should try attending next year

By attending this kind of conferences you will increase your Linux knowledge, get the latest news, meet the people that are making things happen, support the addoption of Linux and have fun!
