Kismet configuaration problem with ipw3945

I have puppy 2.17 and i want to run kismet my wireless card works fine for internet but i dont know if the installed drivers work for kismet.

I have ipw3945 and i recieve this message

FATAL: Support for capture source type 'ipw3945' was not built. Check the output from 'configure' for more information about why it might not have been compiled in.
Waiting for server to start before starting UI..

what that means?can anyone help me how to configure it?

in the kismet.conf at teh source i typed source=ipw3945,eth1,addme
at the addme dont know what to type.its correct?
