Could anyone please give me (a newbie) some hint how to install lyx on Puppy?
I know it has been discussed before but most links are dead by now.

mu has lyx available here:

if you wanted a newer version, the simplest way is just dload a newer binary file, from somewhere like http://lyx.cybermirror.org/bin/, then extract it. you'll need to dload other stuff to meet the dependency requirements, typing ldd lyx, (in the same directory as the lyx executable), will tell you what's missing.
