do I have this printer lexmark Z 647 , it is USB, there will be some way of making her work in puppy 2.17.1?

AFAIK lexmark haven't released linux drivers for your printer, and nobody has reverse engineered any. your printer isn't listed with linuxprinting.org.

lexmark do have a linux developer's kit, to develop drivers, available here:

but i wouldn't waste my time & would prefer to buy a printer that already works with puppy.

thanks for the response, I believe that I must be content, and looked, but in linuxprinting.org my model of printer turns out to be like not supported.

I do not believe that it is possible to find the code source.
