2.15 CE and Toshiba Satellite wifi

have a toshiba satellite l25-s121 celeron 1.6 atheros ar5001x wifi and a realtek 8139 ethernet. puppy 215 sees both devices and loads the correct modules but doesn't connect.
please help with a detailed remedy. btw,have tried to load madwifi-0.9.3.1 but could not get past the make command

You say it doesn't connect but you don't tell us what it does when you try. :cry: How far can you get?

cannot find network router. just posts connection unsuccessful

I also have a new birthday gift - new laptop. with same chips set .
Add this to the kernnel boot line. irqpoll this may fixed it for now. Better fix in newer kernels & madwifi drivers

kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/ram0 irqpoll PMEDIA=IDEFLASH pfix=ram
