atheros wifi difficulties

Subject description: loads on live cd of rudy?		  
have a toshiba satellite celeron m 1.7 and having module problems on all versions to load atheros wifi card except rudy linux 070227. the live cd picks up the card during boot perfectly but when I install the os to the hd the boot fails to load the module and the wifi fails.
my touch pad in 2.16 and 2.7 also doesn't work fully. in 2.14 no problem

any help will be greatly appreciated
