Freecol 0.6, an open source Colonization clone

#1 Post by gdemonta »

Hi everybody,
For those who conquered the east indies a hundred times with Colonization, for those who are in a caribbeaan mood, here is Freecol!
For those who don't know colonization, it was a "spin-of" of civilization: the player was to colonize a new world, starting with a ship and 2 men.
the jar file is available here.
and once you downloaded it, just type

Code: Select all

java -jar freecol-0.5.1-installer.jar
to install it.
For those who didn't notice, it needs java 1.5.
Then find the freecol script in usr/loca/freecol, and here you are!
It worked for me with puppy 2.14, hard disk install.
Enjoy!
