Thanks for this, it is a good alternative to Transmission.

Can I ask, is it possible to pass the torrent file name by clicking on the torrent file in Rox? I can't get that to work.

Newcrest, that's a good idea and I will try to incorporate a feature like that in future versions but as for the current version it's not possible.

Well, that shouldn't be necessary because there should already be a symlink for pupcreatetorrent in /usr/local/bin/

NEW PROBLEM:

I was reading the changelog for the enhanced ctorrent program. It appears some of the bugs could be serious. So, I decided to install the dotpets. However, I'm running on frugal, and I really don't feel like remastering the frugal everytime I apply updates like this. Do you think the base program that comes with Puppy 4.0 (Dingo) could be used with a compiled version of dnh3.3.2? I thought about getting the source code from sourceforge and compiling, but it's finals week and I already spent my free time on Lyx.

I really dislike remastering things. Reinstalling them after boot I don't mind.

By the way, brilliant coding for pctorrent. I really like it.

OLD PROBLEM:

I seem to be having problems downloading torrents. First what will happen is the download speed dwindles to zero. Afterwards, I'm unable to ping google.com. After that, it seems I can't even ping my wireless router. If I try reinstalling ndiswrapper and connecting to a wireless network, the computer crashes and the keyboard leds start blinking.

So, what exactly is going on here?

OLD PROBLEM SOLVED:

Ok, I figured it out.
I'm using really old .sys and .inf files for ndiswrapper.
I updated.

Things seem to be working.

But as I have read, the following could be problems if someone else like me gets issues:

1. router / network device drivers are out of date
2. change your upload / download speeds
3. try downloading another of the .torrent; the previous may be corrupt
4. make sure you have plenty of memory

Once you install the new ctorrent dotpet it will overwrite the version currently in Puppy. You won't need to remaster since it will be part of your save file. Is that what you're asking?
