Are usb speakers supported by puppy?

#1 Post by bobble991 »

Just got a tiny set of usb speakers( running out of space). They are certainly detected as being there, they show up in usbdevs. However not a peep from them. Im running teenpup which is possibly the best os I have ever used in my 30 or so years of computers.

Thanks
Bob

ok thanks Ill mess about and report back. I believe unleashed has the 2.10 kernel so the usb configuration tool wont be available?. Can I update it without destroying everything(AGAIN   ) by downloading the unleashed 2.16 core package and extracting it to the root drive. I have a hard drive installation. How do I then run the usb tool?

Thanks for the help

Not sure what version that is. If it was before or after the hack.

Check your sound wizard for "USB Sound Device".

If it's not there, add it like this:

Selecting that might get it going.
