As usual superb (tried it with the new Liberation fonts from Red Hat)
changes in Geany
http://geany.uvena.de/Documentation/ReleaseNotes
Liberation fonts for Puppy (similar to existing fonts in Puppy)

Many moon howlings ago we used 'beaver'
A very good ediitor with a cross eyed groundhog pretending to be beaver icon. I had to have therapy over that icon . . . but that is another story best left on the couch
The best compliment I can give Geany is it just works. No fuss. Many thanks for all your kind efforts. Much appreciated.

I just downloaded Geany 11 but noticed when I was at the alternate download site, that there was a source file for Geany-12! The site I visited was:

Thanks for keeping this great editor up to date in Puppy but I can't seem to ever find the pkagfiles site working. Is there another location?

pkagfiles is down at times, as any site can be. I've had very little problems recently & seldom is offline. I do recommend wget to resume downloads though, as that is problematic with servage.
If you are getting a 403 forbidden error, you might be caught in a banned IP address block. PM me your IP address & I'll look into it. I can't make promises to unblock if the IP address is within a subnet that largely operates as a spam/zombie network.

Thanks for that. Yes I am forbidden
I am with Aapt on a dynamic ip so I must not be the only one affected.
Now that I know what the problem is, I was able to download using a proxy without a problem.

Being in dingo which doesn't support pup yet I downloaded the tar.gz one.
I extract and I have /usr in a geany1.3 directory
I merge this with / but when I start geany I am still at 1.2
I probably miss a point somewhere.

It was compiled on older version of Puppy.
I Just got around to booting up a fresh Dingo alpha 6 & it seems the directory structure is different. Manually copying bin to /usr/bin & geany to /usr/share, Instead of /usr/local/bin & /usr/local/share works OK for me.
