Here is version 3 of the updater. I actually did make a version 2, but this one is better, and the number matches the radio now Smile

This version will append any stations on the list you don't already have to the file. This way you can keep the stations you add by hand. It has to check to see if a station is in the list already, so it goes a little slower than the last one, but it's worth it.

Good stuff, thanks!

So, now that you are on a roll is your next amazing feat to create a "record the stream" dotpup for Radio3?

I was actually thinking I'd work on my cms some more and get my website back up, then come back and make the wiki-reading part better. How it works now is fine, but you can't re-order it easily because you'd have to re-number it. (Well, actually, as long as it has all the numbers, their order doesn't matter, but then it gets confusing and messy, and numbers get lost.)

I'm going to have a busy week, but if I get time next week I'll look into it. I don't have to go to school Monday, so I might make that my project. It sounds more fun than messing with the wiki, at least.

Someone asked about this streaming audio:

rtsp://rxs-lvl3-lon01.rbn.com/farm/pull/tx-rbn-sea40:1259/encoder/cspan/g2cspan/live/cspan4db.rm CSPAN Radio

I just added a http version of the CSpan feed -- but it didn't show up after I ran Update.

BTW: My Radio3 list has 27 items yet the Wiki list only has 12.

Figured out part of the problem, the last two entries were unusual, not shoutcast feeds and they were blocking anything that followed.

I moved things around to keep them last and the new entries worked OK.

Will try the prior feeds attempts again as well.

The extra stations came with the Radio3 dotpup. I set my updater up to not delete them and any that you add manually.

OK, sorted it out as best I could.

Also, posted several streams to Katrina recovery activity.

added support for some more kinds of playlists
added some more stations
download radio.pup from the first page of this thread

this installs a roxapp called Radio3 in my-roxapps

if you already have Radio3 installed, it should backup your old station.txt file to station0904.txt

Good stuff, thanks!

BTW: Does WHQR provide BBC feed just at night or frequently?

I was expecting a North Carolina news drawl and got reports of German elections from a guy with a British accent instead! Terrible cognitive dissonance that! Wink

Good to hear myself and Raffy are now available as Pawed Casts (Podcasts), within such august company as BBC Radio . . .
Ian also made a voicemail which perhaps we can locate . . .

What Fun!
Thanks guys Smile

PS. - the date of the Foundation Weekend mentioned has moved forward one week 9-12 September 05
