When I tried to check the processes directory recently the filer green bar gets to about 40% and hangs.
That then takes out other windows and the filer window refuses to close and the screen icons and everything on the desktop is wiped
Have to logout and back in to clear it?

The version of ROX-Filer used since 2.13 has troubles with empty files, one of which is in /proc. I think GuestToo said the new version of Rox (2.6) doesn't have that issue. The version in Puppy may work if you disable thumbnails though (right-click the "eye" icon from the Rox-toolbar). Otherwise, you'll have to either stick to the commandline when viewing /proc or upgrade Rox.
