Airlink mimo g: must run rutilt and wizard

Hi fellas, I'll get right to it, I have to run network wizard and rutilt simultaneously to get a network connection. Is this right? when I try to scan for networks with rutilt I get a code 100 or 16, can't scan for networks. I'm using the airlink mimo g pcmcia card with the updated firmware and the rt61 driver.
