It looks awful

#1 Post by fleamailman »

Hi, I was happy running kubuntu until the latest updates ruined everything so here I am. But now that I am running puppy from the harddrive I want to get everything off the desktop since it could just look uncluttered if I could get the offered programs into the start menu instead, thank

If I understand your question, just right click on the icon and choose "remove item." Away it goes.

If you hold the ctrl key while clicking the icons, you can select multiples. They should already have entries in the menu, though it will be under the app name rather than generic name. Except maybe xlock, which you can launch from the commanline xlock or the Rox-App at /usr/local/apps/. The normal "connect" wizard probably doesn't have an entry, but it's really just a compilation of wizards that do have entries (such as the ethernet wizard, or the firewall wizard, etc.).
