boot freezes on creating unionfs step

#1 Post by miseral »

this happen in a hd installation simulating the cd (with grub and that stuff) like the 214 manual indicates. it happen when the last step of the init script starts , the "creating unionfs" step. my only choice is ctrl alt supr and if i´m lucky the X server will start succesfully.
I got the sfs and the vmlinuz on a Ntfs partition and i´m using the 213 dist.
thanks

More info. .
Also I try a floppy boot to start puppy. This time the unionfs step doesn´t cause problems but eventually the X system doesnt start. Next I type xorgwizard to setup again X but puppy answer me :
xorgwizard 1234 Segmentation Fault

it`s weird. I think is unionfs.
thks

Solved replacing xorgwizard with a tweaked version from developers forum, currently inactive
