As far as my Puppy-528 is concerned, that is not a valid SFS file.
Could you make a tgz or something?

Thanks Peebee

Each of these packages just work for me on my trusttahr 32bit machine.
I use my own wrapper so that it points to the locations I want to use for "user data" and "cache" ..and it just runs.

Keep em coming please.

Thanks, Peebee! Where would we, the vast majority of far-less knowledgeable Puppy users, be without people like you working on these things for the rest of us?? Your work is much appreciated.

20-Mar-2020

Will work on LxPupSc32, LxPupSc64, ScPup32, ScPup64 & BionicPup32 & UPupEE

32-bit:
chromium_80.0.3987.149+pepper_32.0.0.344

64-bit:
chromium64_80.0.3987.149+pepper_32.0.0.344

n.b. BionicPup64-8.0 requires the 64-bit .sfs to be converted - see: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 205#867205 (use option 2)

NO LONGER NEEDED....

Another way to run chromium-79 on BionicPup32....

Not for the faint hearted.....

Swap the kernel for a 64-bit version
Install a 64-bit compatibility module
Install the 64-bit version of chromium-79

see screenie

Hmm -- having some trouble here but IDK if these are supposed to work with XenialPup (32-bit)...? Starting from terminal, i'm told i need GLIBC-2.29 (not available through PPM). At least for now, I've installed Chromium 79 from PPM and it works...but, it's BLOATED? Any advice?

XenialPup is too old for latest Chromium as I package it I'm afraid ....... update to BionicPup32 if possible.

Not sure what version you've obtained via PPM - probably:

You can download .deb packages from the repository, unpack them, and make the files into an .sfs package.

Actually I made one, and there is a thread in the puppy linux japanese forum, where you can download it from. (The .sfs package includes l10n files.)

peebee, IDK how you find the time for all you do -- WOW!!!

thinkpadfreak -- your version works perfectly, about 1/3 the size of the PPM download
