TazPuppy 5.0 rc2
I made a new manual frugal install of beta 34 a few days ago on a Sandisk USB Ultra Flash drive. All was working well. I have just manually updated installation to beta 35. All still running very well.
In relation to wifi auto-connecting, tazpuppy connects every boot without issue and is clearly faster than any other puppy I have used.
Thanks mistfire for the your continued contribution to puppy, Well done.

@zagreb, all I'm saying is that you should report issues or ask questions here only about the original tazpup (not modified or remastered using porteus-boot or whatever), download here:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 64#1040464
Btw, posting this from tazpup, wifi autoconnected fine after reboot.

Hi zagreb999,
TazPuppy can install pets. I'm not certain, but there should be a way to create a 'backup' SaveFile. If there is you can backup your SaveFile --just in case. Then install rerwin's pets from here, http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 555#898555 and here, http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 876#952876. These pets are bash-scripts and so should be transferable to TazPuppy.
Quickset is also available as a pet, http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 658#470658. But I don't know to what extent is may require infra-structure built into Puppies. Well, that's what backup SaveFiles are for.

I have a lil bug here - I clicked on free space icon and got a message - please wait, probing drives.. and it does not disappear. (but all my drives are avaliable from pcmanfm)
Well I made full install and everything was fine on the first boot but on the second boot I had problems with internet connection thru 4g modem (the same problem was on Slitaz).Somehow I solved this by executing autorun.sh from my modem folder. But I can't understand why this happens.
And also I just noticed that my sound is totally broken)) man wtf is happening ?)

Well, after a long fight I got sound in Umplayer (but its not very good) and still no sound in smplayer (it cant detect output options) and browser and all other apps
Seems like the problem is that it puts hda nvidia (hdmi) as default while I need to use hda ati sb

there is context menu on any package when you click on it right button - download linked filemistfire wrote:@didit
What menu on Tazpanel did you accesed that triggers that error?
And today my sound was broken again - alsa sound wizard did not help this time, I had to launch qasmixer to fix that (somehow my master volume was muted and alsamixer could not fix that too)

@diditt
When installing packages online. Sometimes slitaz repo server was busy. Just try it again later until their repo server respond.
Regarding sound, try to swap kernel file and zdrv file using the kernel and zdrv file of other puppy just rename the zdrv file of other puppy to zdrv_tazpup_5.0.sfs
To edit menu entries:
1. If you want to edit the menu structure, goto /etc/xdg/menus
2. If you want to edit application's category, goto /usr/share/applications
