There are hundreds but I think this could be a useful thread so I'll begin by mentioning a very basic one: Home and End > One of the uses is to quickly navigate to the top or bottom of an open ROX window, many applications like word processors, browsers, etc.
Please add, I'm sure some gems are going to pop out here.

All depends on what you prefer. I have F1 to toggle show/hide of tilda (terminal) and set it to be full screen. Using mc file manager within that and I can access/open scripts quickly.

Ctrl up/down arrows are set to raise/lower volume.

Alt + space to show xlunch (program selector) .. or mouse into the top left hot corner.

Win + space to show skippy (window selector) .. or mouse into bottom left hot corner.

In both of those the arrow keys can be used to navigate to select a program/window, or use the mouse.

Other than that, as you say, page up/down to scroll pages, home/end to scroll to top/bottom.

Ctrl +/- is about the only other commonly used for me .. to zoom web pages

Oh and up/down arrows when I'm playing a video on the root window
mplayer -rootwin some.mp4 ... to roll the video foward/back.

Useful?
That's the most needless and annoying shortcut I can think of.
Explained here.

In Rox, the ` (lower case ~) key will open a console in the directory you're in. That's a handy shortcut.
