urxvt danish dead keys forgotten when leaving urxvt

puppy 8.0 bionic is used

i set in puppy setup -> mouse/keyboard -> advanced configuration ->

layout variants to dead keys but when leaving urxvt this is forgotten

Yeah, Puppy does that for fancy languages!!! ;)

Try putting a script like this in your /root/Startup directory?

setxkbmap -v 1 -layout "da" 2>/dev/null
It affects the entire session, not just the console.
I use a similar one for Canadian French.

Please try that for starters and post your result?
If it does not work, you may have to recompile the latest version of urxvt or
change to MLTerm.

In the future give exact full version information.
This could be:
Bionicpup64 8.0
Bionicpup32 8.0 and several + versions of it.

Yes, there is a difference between them.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected :shock:

And try to exit using the exit command from within the terminal and not just the X button at the window corner, then it should save your settings correctly.
