The perfect puppy for older machines.
I reckon Precise 571 running with Tahr's 605 kernel comes close. I did the kernel swop and stripped out the old browser and libLLVM module. Repacked at maximum compression the base sfs (which includes drivers, no zdrv) comes to only 111MB!!! I use a new browser and VLC (Precise has Gnome Player builtin) as sfs add-ons. Perfect system for my Compaq 6720s laptop.

It supposedly only uses 68MB of ram initially once booted up, but of course will use more ram once you start using applications.
I've nener really used Slacko. I did download a Slacko some years ago but didn't like it, some things didn't work like I wanted it to which put me off experimenting further with it. I see the iso is about 300MB and there is also an adrive of 95MB. That's enough to put me off anyway.
