keepass is causing me some grief, downloaded keepassxc 2.3.4-1 i386 stable stretch.deb
Installed, icon ok under utility menu, but will not load

Tried from terminal with the resulting error message

# keepassxc

keepassxc: error while loading shared libraries: libQt5Network.so.5 cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Found a copy of libQt5Network.so.5 in the Calibre files, but not sure where I should copy it to?

Hi Peter444,

It seems keepassxc has at least 17 dependencies including qt5 libs that are not in the base Dpup Stretch (see ListDD screenshot below).

Those missing dependencies are available as individual packages in the following link.

https://packages.debian.org/stretch-backports/keepassxc.

This looks like an arduous process, but maybe other users of keepassxc will offer installation advice.

I hope all goes well!

Wrong symlink:

hi MochiMoppel,

this symlink to pgrep is in the official procps.deb both in debian & ubuntu

Official or not: The problem is that in "classic" Puppies pkill is symlinked to busybox and that pkill symlinked to the full version of pgrep is not fully compatible. Scripts that use pkill would have to check which of the 2 approaches is used, otherwise the most trivial command pkill <processname> might not work.

I used dpups for many years, and inspired by jamesbond's test of Dpup Stretch-7.5 in low RAM hardware http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=115604, I burned the .iso to a CD for a test on an old P4 box. So far, very nice!

Hi Darry,

Can I ask what you managed to fit in your stripped down version? Mainly, did you get a 'modern' browser in there?

I've got a Slacko 5.7* completely updated where it's running the latest Palemoon and I am at 235MB total using frugal & grub4dos. In fact, it's loaded on a 250MB USB stick, and where one boot entry is pfix=ram and the other is the same except pfix is changed to pfix=fsck (to make small changes I want to make in the overall ISO).

But if you got a modern browser in your Dpup-Stretch at only 230MB, I'll definitely switch to that as radky's dpup-stretch I use on the 32-bit computers I still have around the house, and I really like Radky's creation as it is polished as heck.

Thanks.

My Barebones stripped down version has no browser the original iso was 341meg I got it down to 230meg really stripped down no multimedia player,
a lot of apps stripped out - mainly with Wanderer in mind as he wanted a stripped down pup to build his system with sfs's.

It is the most stripped down pup I have ever done a bit like Hondasid's Lucid 500 barebones.

The Network menu item PcurlFtp is not available, I cannot find it from the terminal window either. There is a pcurlftp_file_sharing-0.2-1 in the ppm, from the puppy-noarch-official repo, is that the same version that should have been installed?

The Dpup also fails to find the built-in camera in my Dell Latitude E6230 laptop. It has stretch-7.5-uefi-k4.9.149 installed by Lick as multi boot along Windows 10 and 2 other Puppys.
