Touchpad And Keyboard issues Linux 5.4
Linux Puppy 5.4 booting successfully no problems, when I probe in Xorg wizard and select option system launches display desktop but touchpad and keyboard will not respond on Lenovo V110. I must use this version of Linux due to voip software. Looking for any solutions are leads that may help thanks.
If this is as new a computer, as it seems to be, by a Google search.
That Puppy 5.4 does not have the Linux kernel or firmware/drivers to support the hardware.
If this is a very new computer.
I would try using Bionicpup64 7.9.8

Could you give more details on what you need for Voip?
What Voip software you trying to use?
Bionicpup64 7.9.8 has PuppyPhone for voip.

The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.

@ Opensource23:-
IF you want something like Skype (I'm guessing this is what you mean by VOIP), you're going to have to run a 64-bit Puppy anyway.
The 32-bit, Qt4-based Linux Skype client was deprecated at least 18 months ago, in favour of a 64-bit only, web-based app. By 'web-based', I mean that the desktop client now runs exactly the same interface as 'skype.web.com'.
The Linux Skype client does not work correctly anyway. Video calling is definitely out of the picture. M$ keep promising the ability at some point in the future, but they've been doing that for a long time now.....and still no sign of it.
As bigpup says, Puppy has its own, built-in VOIP 'softphone'.....PuppyPhone.
Mike.
