I like this upupcc. Up to date applications here. I make sfs and pet from ppm. Openshot-2.4.2 32 bit run very well. I make an eyecandy using my remastermuks-19 here:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=19JVBL ... fkGH5VHups
I make ability to press enter after inputing password in sns. I edit the file /usr/local/simple_network_setup/sns in line about 252. I add

Code: Select all

activates-default="true"
and I add in line 856

Code: Select all

has-focus="true"
So I just press enter, not tab enter. I think this is also can be used by another puppy linux woof ce based.
Thank you, Peebee.. :D

Updated my upupcc frugal grub4dos install on the Fujitsu S761 i5 from +10 to +12. Skipped +11 as I don't use the Light adrive. No issues or changes in systemics or normal daily use seen. Also updated upupbb to +25 there also for the ubuntu updates, again, no changes seen. The combination of the JWM WM and my PcManFm integration sans gvfs in both continues to my be slick'n'quickest pups.

Cheers,
Pups currently in kennel :D Older LxPupSc and X-slacko-4.4 for my users; LxPupSc, LxPupSc64 and upupEF for me. All good pups indeed, and all running savefiles for look'n'feel only. Browsers, etc. solely from SFS.

+12 install 2 posts up updated to +13 using the delta. No hitches, no glitches, no changes noted in system checks or in relatively brief normal daily use.

In Disco Dingo I have installed mpv and youtube-dl. (Gnome-mplayer not working and I have not installed a static mplayer as you have done). When downloaded your .mp4 I can play it with mpv.

Code: Select all

wget https://archive.org/download/doctor-who-s19-e01/Part%201.mp4
Rename the downloaded file as Part1.mp4 and:

Code: Select all

mpv Part1.mp4
It can play it also in streaming renouncing to https:

Code: Select all

mpv http://archive.org/download/doctor-who-s19-e01/Part%201.mp4
Is ffmpeg compiled with openssl support?

In cosmic cuttlefish I have VLC 3.0.4 and it can play your .mp4. Gnome-mplayer not working also for me in cosmic cuttlefish.

Thank you Watchdog. Don't know what happened between Bionic and Cuttle/Dingo.

Here is a static mplayer for those with this problem.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/anitao ... z/download

Courtesy of good old Fred master of the static app.

Its a pity cos I quite like Cosmic otherwise.

The test .mp4 plays for me on UPupDD MPlayer with no problems.......

So maybe a hardware or kernel problem??

Both MPlayer and ffmpeg were recompiled for UPupCC / UPupDD

I then recompiled ffmpeg for UPupDD

With your static mplayer I can play in upupdd and upupcc:

Code: Select all

gnome-mplayer http://archive.org/download/doctor-who-s19-e01/Part%201.mp4
Https not working.

My hardware report:

Ahhhh

You are attempting to run video from the website - I downloaded the video and ran it locally....

I would run in a web browser (Chromium) if I was trying to view a website version....

I've checked the ffmpeg build configs in UPupBB and UPupDD and they are identical....
