How to adjust the RAM Xenial uses when starting?

#1 Post by pp4mnklinux »

Hi:

I'm using xenial x64 7.5 and when I start It, the process needs 498 MB of RAM.

How can I made it smaller?

What services can I take out of startup?

How can I do it?

THANKS A LOT
Distro: xenialpup64 7.5 XXL
Desktop Panel: JWM ~ FbBox 5.0

pp4,

Please follow Forum rules.

Do NOT start threads in this section unless you publish an Puppy and/or other OS.

It stuffs/clouds this Forum (and Puppy Projects) up.

Either post in the House Training section under "USERS, For the Regulars" or post in the specific OS thread you are asking about.

Again, do not start threads in this section (or Puppy Projects section) unless you are publishing/starting an OS.

Thanks

P.S. Post this either in Xenial's dedicated thread, or post in Users: Regulars)
