Subject description: view free movies with Popcorn Time streaming to your Linux box

https://popcorntime.sh/

Above is download link for all platforms, including Linux 32&64-bit systems.

This is not an endorsement for using Popcorn-time, but it is out there, and currently under active development, despite several lawsuits. Users keep forking it.

The developers of Popcorn Time suggest users to use a VPN service to avoid any kind of legal consequences.

Download your version and extracts files, look for the file named popcorn-time and make it executable.

Have a look here : http://www.popcorntimevpn.com/
Suggested VPN for Popcorn-time by developers.

How to install popcorn time : https://www.linuxhelp.com/how-to-use-popcorn-time-in-linux-desktop/

32-bit :
[root@linuxhelp Desktop]# wget https://get.popcorntime.io/build/Popcorn-Time-0.3.9-Linux32.tar.xz
[root@linuxhelp Desktop]# tar -xvf Popcorn-Time-0.3.9-Linux32.tar.xz
[root@linuxhelp Desktop]# cd Popcorn-Time/
chmod 755 Popcorn-Time
./Popcorn-Time

Note :
Now Popcorn Time is version 3.10. Before using above commands, check version number.
Using Popcorn Time is less of a concern now : The Popcorn Time has encrypted its BitTorrent Traffic and included VPN service which ensures users from getting threats against pirated movies and from other unnecessary risk.

Subject description: an alternative to Popcorn Time

To get a copy of Stremio for Linux (64-bit) : https://www.stremio.com/downloads

Stremio is provided as a service, but users must know the legal risk associated with streaming copyrighted material.

Look for Stremio addons :
Install official and community add-ons to enjoy video sourced from many different providers - all in one sleek, easy to use app.
All of the video content Stremio provides get sourced through an add-on system - no content or content provider has been built into the app.
https://www.stremio.com/addons

Stremio can be used as a video manager, even videos on your local drives :
Add any title to your Stremio library with a single click and find your way around your content, neatly arranged by type, recency, or alphabetical order.

Linux is another major operating system I just could not miss. Casting Popcorn time on a Linux machines is quite similar to the Windows and Mac. However, there a few additional steps to ensure smooth casting.
