I included the languagefiles, so on my system it runs german. On english systems english of course ;)

I compiled myself Pilot-Link, and used the slackware-binary of Jpilot.

Download (1.5 MB):
http://dotpups.de/dotpups/Network/Jpilo ... 0.11.8.pup

No idea if it works, I have no PDA.

MU,

jpilot looks great but I can't get my lifedrive to sync. I don't know if it is an issue with running 2.01 or if it is an issue with the life drive. All I can get is this:

Syncing on device /dev/ttyusb0
Press the HotSync button now
****************************************
pi_bind error: /dev/ttyusb0 No such file or directory
Check your serial port and settings
Exiting with status SYNC_ERROR_BIND
Finished :(

Has anyone been able to get a lifedrive to sync with 2.01?????

Thanks
DBK

I used to run JPilot in Zenwalk Linux, and I had no PDA. Instead, I used it as a stand-alone scheduler, a task for which it is very suited if not originally intended.

The next time I'm in Puppy, I'll have to download it and give it a try. Is it suited to either 1.09CE or 2.01 or both? (I've been running 1.09CE because I could not easily get my wireless connection to work on my old notebook, something I do have working in 1.09CE, although I have to restart it each boot.)
Walt

Now that you point it out to me, the answer seems painfully obvious.

Three questions, please?

1. Does this work as-is under Puppy 2.02 or will changes have to be made and an updated version posted first?

2. Will this app talk to the Nokia 6255i?

3. Will this app allow one to access the images on the internal memory? (I can see the MMC card using MUT but the internal memory is inaccessible.)

Also, I will post this separately after trying a search, but does anyone reading this know of a Puppy app that will allow one to access the internal memory of a Kodak Easyshare DX6490 digital camera? Same problem where the SD card may be accessed but the internal memory is inaccessible via MUT.

Thanks! doc

Hi,

Just to echo the first point of edoc's last post in this thread:

I can't get jpilot (both brad chuck's and MU's versions) to sync with my Sony Clie (SJ20/G) on anything above Puppy 109CE. I get the same SYNC_ERROR_BIND error.

With every version of Puppy2 that comes out, I try again.

Being still Linux-ignorant, I just try little things. For example, in the jpilot Preferences, I try ttyUSB0, ttyUSB1... etc.

No good, I'm afraid. I'm still (very) happy with Puppy109CE so it's no big deal for me. I SYNC very happily with jpilot under 109CE.

Still, I am starting to feel a bit left behind with all the Puppy goodness that's happening. More incentive for me to keep reading up on this LEENECKS thing.

But here's hoping someone can help me sync in, and jump to, Puppy2!

:)

There is a serious bug in 2.xx, they are working on it in another thread ... I just heard about
that this AM.

I wonder if Puppy needs to do a Broadcast to all Forum subscribers when such broadly
troublesome bugs are discovered.

I know that I have wasted a lot of time trying to work around a problem that I wished I had
known was a bug.

Anyhow, for the moment the only recommendation appears to be to wait to hear about
the bug-fix release ... 2.03 perhaps.

Wow ... I thought it was me. Tried everything here, switching ports, going to usbview, and even getting into a few things that are far beyond my knowledge/experience. Eagerly awaiting the fix.

Watch 'em work on it here ... looks promising!
