@nooby after a little digging I managed to find the transmitter info in puppy already and matched the info previously supplied (thankyou!) I'm running slacko but would assume it's the same in other flavours look in: /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t - there is a huge list of transmitters and the respective data ...

@Ides I'm having exactly the same problem using an asus u3000 it seems 'tuning failed' is a problem with low signal strength I also tried w_scan (google search for the pet - can't remember where I found it) this tool gives a little more info, it 'sees' the signal ie it reports at certain frequencies...

@greengeek I have a couple of 701s and a 900 I have tried various fluppy builds but so far puppeee1.0 seems (for me) the best version I'm a bit of a puppy collector and like to try and obtain ISOs for posterity too it also gives me a way to introduce my family to the joy of puppy..... cheers ally :)
