gtkam

I tried to download the gtkam.pet and for some reason it did not find a lot of .lib files it needed. This is for Puppy 3.01. I just got a cannon A-720 camera and wanted to see if gtkam would work with it. I have no problem reading the SD cards when in my laptop using Pmount, so gtkam is not real hig...

No problem on my tower, it works with everything. A3 loaded on this HP Pavilion zv6000, where A2 would not. A3 does not see the Broadcom BCM43xx wireless card. All versions up to A1 did see it. The only driver that will load for it is the B43. Will have to wait until I can get to SA to test the wire...

Barry,

You say on your blog that you will not have full SCSI support, what do you mean?

My tower has both IDE and SCSI drives as well as a SCSI PCMCIA adapter that have worked thru 3.x series and 4.0.

Puppy 4.0x and 3DCC

Has anyone done anything with 4.0x and the 3DCC drivers yet?

I have a couple of programs I use with 3.01 that use 3DCC and would like to know if anyone has made it work in 4.0x. One of the ones I use is LeoCAD.

Tested both versions. Older kernel works ok on both the tower and the laptop.
6.25 kernel ok on the tower, would not work with USB mouse on the HP Pavilion zv6000 laptop. This is the first version of Puppy that I have run into this problem on. What information would you need to find the problem?

If any one is in the San Antonio, TX area May 10, the next computer show will be at the Live Oak civic Center. The San Antonio Linux Users Group will be showing off graphics packages. I will be running several under Puppy. Right now I plan to use 3.01, but if 4.0 is operational on my computers I wil...

Would like the 'chat' to default to IRC #puppylinux like the 3.0x series for new users, just have it prompt for a screen name.

I have been using Puppy on this laptop for almost one year now and never had any problems. Not everyone uses a laptop. If one needs the programs then they could be a pet package. Have you thought of making one and posting it?

Model Railroading. My dad got his first toy train when he was 3 years old, is 84 now, still plays with trains.

I have worked in all the scales at one time or another, am now in large Scale, mostly 1/20.32.

Request better ID on boot screen for Derivatives

When one is trying out different derivatives of Puppy it would help to have the boot screen have the derivative name and derivative version number on the first line, not the generic 'Puppy' version that you made the derivative from. This would also help new users that run into problems so they know ...
