Why not add desksetup to save/retrieve desktop icons?
I copied the one from latest slacko, seems to work.

Frisbee problem
Hello, I like the idea of a puppified debian and tried it, but network connectivity was a showstopper for me immediately. No way I could make frisbee setup a static IP connection (I'm using the ethernet lan at work, and I have no problem with that using Frisbee in Slacko). It kept telling my IP was ...

I have had some problems with go-mtpfs cutting the connection to my device (Samsung Galaxy Note 2) after a few seconds. When working in CLI, I noted that adding the -usb-timeout=[put here a healty bunch of millisecs like 100000] the problem disappeared. So I renamed the go-mtpfs binary to go-mtpfs2,...

HOWTO Samsung SCX-4100 printer/scanner in 5.4 puppies
I didn't expect it but both printer and scanner do work. Tested in Slacko and Precise Puppy 5.4. Contrarily to what advised elsewhere in these forums, I installed the Samsung Linux Unified Driver. I'm sorry I am unable to determine which version, it's one that was sitting in the home of my ubuntu in...

Hello puppians, I am here mainly to apologize for not having maintained rudypuppy, and for not having replied to some of your posts in the last 5-6 months. This happens because I have no more spare time after caring for my daughter, who is now a toddler running everywhere, after my work, and because...

Experimental k3b dotpet
I must admit I am a disaster at making dotpets. In particular, I have been unable to make it get dependencies automatically. So, before you install, go get: 1) qt-3.3.6 2) cdrdao from the puppy package manager. If you want to make audio cd's from your mp3's, install also: http://puppyfiles.org/dotpu...
