I was told by a fellow of mine, that the installer may be considering the separate .cab files "new disks" and it's not jumping to them to get the data. Is there a possibility that that is what is occurring?

Quake 3 Arena

Has any one had any issues installing it on their system?

http://zerowing.idsoftware.com/linux/q3a/INSTALL

I found this guide, has anyone installed Q3 on their system?

I have also found this:

http://openut.sourceforge.net/dload.php

Should I try the "installer" from this site? It differs from the one I found before. The link for that one is located in the site I linked to in my prior post.

I found this "guide"

http://blog.tijg.be/2008/04/22/unreal-t ... -on-linux/

Does this mean I gotta copy from files from the disk to another folder during the install?

I don't quite follow...

: (

Can anyone clarify this a bit for me?

Unreal Tournament GotY edition Linux install Part 2

...Unreal Tournament GotY edition is a one CD game...there is no "disk 2."

Just to make sure the disk was ok, I installed it on windows, and it installed fine.

Any insight into what's going on?

New Apps not having menu options

I installed some of the additional .pet files form here: http://www.puppylinux.ca.nyud.net/tpp/bugs/ However, a few, dosbox and air crack don't show up in my menu. I found the launcher for Dosbox in /usr/bin/ folder, and copied the icon to my desktop so I can at least use that. However Aircrack does...

Unreal Tournament GotY edition Linux install - [Solved]

Hello all, I'm trying to install Unreal Tournament GotY edition on my puppy box. I grabbed the "linux installer" form beyond unreal:

http://liandri.beyondunreal.com/Unreal_Tournament#Linux

However, it simply does nothing when clicked on.

Can anyone provide me with any insight as to why?

Thanks for that link, however, seems to be a bit over my head. I'm knowledgeable, but not a linux guru yet.

I guess I'll try to satisfy my concerns another way. Is there anyway to encrypt the whole HDD? At very least I'd like to have a password needed to access the computer.

A bunch of random questions

Alrighty; I'll be short and sweet, here's a list of questions I have for you knowledgable peoples, you. 1.) How does one acquire additional themes and what not? I like customizing. 2.) How does one set up WINE on puppy 4.0? 2.) Is there a better package manager then the one included? One more like S...

I closed down, and booted fresh with no saved settings; I can now connect no prob to WEP.

Why won't WPA work though? the Pass phrase should work? Such as: biglongstringoftextsoitssecure

Rather then: E89F809098... big long string of hex numbers

Is that correct?
