Hello,

Sounds like a nice tool!

Does anyone know if it will work with the Broadcom BCM4306 chip? The PC uses WPA encryption. (HP laptops)

Neither stock wireless managers pick up my network in Puppy. Wireless connectivity is the only thing preventing use of Puppy.

In Ubuntu, it's runs as WLAN0...

Thanks,

Right now, there are other partitions on the drive which include Windows & Ubuntu.

Could you expand your answer a bit. When installing Puppy, will it present me an option during the "full install" to point to a seperate /home partition?

Tuxxx, First of all, thanks for a great looking distro! My setup is to the hard drive. Because I can only get "barely" past the log-in/password stage, I'm not sure there is a way to delete the "pup" file. It appears that the line ("#") after the two "cat/..." ...

FireHydrant....Login stalls

Good afternoon, After recently blacklisting my FireHydrant ethernet module in the Bootloader (by mistake ;), my login stalls immediately after listing "2" cat/ lines. These lines appear immediately after I enter my "login" & "password" (which I have enabled to add a...

Thanks fudgy,

Will give it a try...sounds like a no-brainer.

Do you know if this will also take care of automatic Rutilt connection (WPA) at boot?

Thanks fudgy!

I'm just a little confused by your instructions. I'm a novice with scripts.

Am I enter all of those lines in a terminal window, or am I placing in a config file?

Thanks for any clarification.

Firewall custom setting for port 631...

Hello,

New to Puppy here...

I would like to setup the Puppy firewall to allow "in" connections to port 631 (CUPS Printing server).

Would I add it as "631/tcp" in the manual port addition field?

Thanks!

Rutilt (Ralink WPA) wireless connection question...

Hello, Puppy works great, by using Rutilit to connect with WPA to my Ralink USB adapter. My question... in order to get the above connection to connect, I first have to run "Network Wizard", then "test Rausb0", in order to load the module. Once I do that, I can click "apply&...

Hello, Just over from Ubuntu...where I was running NoMachine's NX Server (SSH) on an Ubuntu PC. From a Windows PC (client), I could control the Ubuntu box with a nice X GUI. Thank you for that information! I will look through it, and am sure it will help solve my wireless issue.

Sounds like I will be able to connect easily to WPA with Rutilt. I noticed that utility, however "assumed" it only handled open & WEP connections only.

Thanks much!
