resignation
Sorry to see your pain. There are many lurkers that never reveal themselves but are very interested. arry is following his own path with Quirky, Wolf, gag Wary. There are several developers doing their own things. Each has probably at one time or another felt the same way. Please don't give up..........

Save
Reburned live CD using both Puppy 4.2.1 and Windows9 (sorry). Windows burn failed to save but was good otherwise. Pburn saved, but had to retry several times befor it would load due to syncing glitch. Burniso2CDgave best results, but neither would save my wireless connection (the ever problematic rt...

No Save
Cannot save back to live CD. This has worked thru 4.2.1 , but new version doesn't. Otherwise works very fast. Please put more contrast into new theme no matter what it ends up. Like the metallic look.

Progress
Have just installed SCIM (SCIM-bridge method) Thai unicode fonts, and the latest version of Firefox Thai version on 4.21 Final All seem to be working well. Wish you luck in your endeavors. Sorry, but I know nothing about creating and uploading an iso, but it is very easy to install Scim from .pet pa...

Ideas
Sorry for such a late post, but has anyone checked out the latest Firefox. Just downloaded the latest version in Thai and installed on 4.21 Final, also installed Thai unicode fonts, and SCIM (SCIM-bridge method) for my wife. Everything seems to be working, Firefox even selects native Thai sites. Jus...

HI. Glad to see you are doing a project helping others. For natuve Thai speakers, I would start with SUTinRAM as it has been well translated (no English involved) For learning, SCIM would be better although it isn' translated, it is more flexable. Once it is installed, a list of keyboards appears on...

Thanks
Thanks for the leads. D/L and tried them. ThaiPuppy burned as Dingo-(this happened with the original also)- and wasn't Thai ready. The developer version I could not find a link for. SUTinRAM is a full translation but is crippled in various ways. Your best bet -and what I currently do for my wife- is...

SCIM Patch
Just d/l and burned 4.2.1rc2. SCIM installed without a hitch and worked without patching. Have been using UTF=8 character set for Thai without problems. Also works in e-mail for me.

Patches don't work
Tried to install two of the above patches, the one for SCIM and the REMAX patch. Both gave the pink failure screen about not opening in proper folder or being corrupt. Othersc installed without a hitch. AMD Duron 800 on old compaq 5000 series desktop, 1g swap 784 RAM 40g hd running Live CD 0f 4.2 un...

Is there any attempt to localize a Thai language pup? SUTinPUP was a very good start but too much was cut out and the iso no longer seems available. Thai pup was also available at one time , but is now done. I am currently using SCIM (thanks to all who got it working0 but prefer a more complete syst...

Been a while since I read this thread. Been trying to learn how to create my own style and am finally making some progress. Have always liked the 3.xx series as it is most responsive on my cobbled system. my problem now is simple although my settings are mostly saved, my local time isn,t and on rebo...
