When you enter Ayttm Preferences there is a topic selection box on the left. It contains a list of topics, some with sub topics. The second topic is Sound . Click on it and you get a list of check boxes to control when sound is played. This persists through shutdown / restart of Ayttm. The fourth to...

Yo Torrilin, There is a button at the bottom of your chat window with a standard picture of a speaker on it - this will toggle your sound on and off. To get to the preferences - go to the main Ayttm window - it has Ayttm and the version in the title line, pull down the edit menu and select preferenc...

Yes - did it to me too.

I believe this is on the list of areas needing work.

When I reported it, I was informed of the method I
described:

/msg nick message

That works dependably.

Yo prestosd5, Sorry I am so late replying. I am watching all the threads that apply to Ayttm and it is just luck that I discovered you have started a new one. I have tested private chat in Ayttm in the past, but based on your post I just tried it again. It still works. I am using Puppy 406-Conservat...

Yo Béèm, You can change the fonts in Ayttm's preferences. Go to the main window - The little one with Ayttm 0.5.0-81 as its title. From the Edit menu select Preferences, the first screen will have the current font listed and a choose button. Whoever chose the startup font has very good eyes or a hug...

Yo greasemonkey, Welcome! The title line will be shown on your boot menu. It is the way you select which set of commands to use. You can pretty much put anything you like in the title. A description of the process you went through, including selections or choices might help. Also, what exactly did y...

Yo Béèm, Thanks for your help. I'm sure if Siddhesh needs anything specific he will let us know. I was not clear enough. Sid said he is at work from 7 to 11 that's 16 hours - then add the 4 hour train commute. And still, he often manages to work on Ayttm a little when he gets home. I suspect that al...

Yo Béèm, I have added both your posts to the Ayttm Bug Tracker. I think Siddhesh is currently working on the file transfer. He is, however, very busy at his job. He mentioned recently that he had been at work from 7 am to 11 pm. He also has a 2 hour train ride each way, although he can get some slee...

Clearly this problem is not very widespread, otherwise the complaint volume would be louder. Actually, I have had this problem for a long time. I thought it was a Seamonkey problem so I didn't report it here. IIRC it also happens in Google Docs. Not being a touch typist, I just stopped using the in...

Re: Ayttm

Yo Nathano, One item I noticed different is on the list of who is on line. In the chat programs in the older puppy's the 'Online' list is alpha. In Ayttm how do this? Much easyer to see if a person you are looking for is on line if the list can be alpha sorted. This is fixed in the next Ayttm, to be...

Yo Wolf Pup, Thank you for the positive feedback. I am currently over 560 views but the positive feedback has been Lobster, Pizzasgood and you. I think they are trying it, and I think they would complain if it did not work as advertised. Still, it is a little unnerving. Also, Wolf Pup, a very specia...

Updated With Pizzasgood's Suggestions

Yo Pizzasgood, I have updated my mimetypes and scripts in the top post to incorporate all your suggested improvements. I needed to tinker a little to get the "Error" to come out in red. I couldn't find documentation so I just poked at numbers until I found the one that controlled the color...

Yo Pizzasgood, Thanks for your post. I often learn from reading what you write. and this is no exception. I have tested your script - it works beautifully. I will need to study it to learn some new commands. However - I like mine better - not for the reasons you stated: scrolling and copy/paste. I l...

Yo Lobster, Thank you for the kind words. If my scripts actually make it into Puppy, it will be my first code type contribution in almost 20 years. I got Puppy running last December ( using the Lin'N'WinNewB system ) with no previous Linux or Unix experience. Less than a year on the internet under W...

Yo koolie, It is unclear to me what you are doing. It looks like you are somehow running it on itself. I have never seen i run on anything but an md5 or md5.txt file before. You seem to be running it on its own .pet file. I cannot imagine how you got it to do that. koolie Not wanting to denegrate it...

Update - Now Available as a .pet

Wolf Pup has created a .pet that completely implements the md5
checker. It now takes 5 mouse clicks to install and 1 click to use.

I have updated the instructions in my original post.
