Hi geo - you mentioned WEP, yet the router display seems to suggest that WPA is the security mode. I am assuming this must just be a typo or else you would never have been able to connect (I would have thought anyway). Oh boy, oh boy.. How embarrassing.. I spent hours on that, trying all sorts of s...

Ah, just saw the '64' on the package.. I guess it won't work with lucid..

I haven't seen gimp 2.8 around for lucid and I was really hoping that
I could get it. Is this sfs really we should expect sooner or later, you
think?

Hi all, I have this weird problem with my network connection: I can initially connect to my wep-secured network using any of the tools provided by puppy 5.28. Nice.. I see that there is a pet for hplip. It seems that the printer will be fine. I didn't have any problems in arch either. The only problem is that the hplip version is stripped down. However a full version can be found here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=628193&search_id=...

To answer (parts of) my own question, I just realized that there is a section with PET's and SFS's and stuff that one can find many of the latest applications.. I already found libreoffice, gimp, skype, wine.. So it seems that I'll find my way with the applications I need. Any feedback for the rest ...

[SOLVED] Using puppy as my primary OS?

Hi all, I have been a linux user for many years and I always had a thing about minimalism. I have been using arch for the last 2 years, I was about to do a format (my disk failed), and suddenly puppy came in my mind. I only used it for fun a couple of years ago - nothing serious. I bought my laptop ...
