I have an ati graphics card. You may need to compile the amd driver for your graphics card - these proprietary drivers are kernel specific and therefore need to be compiled on your system. Thanks. If I compiled the driver it would be great if I could do it as an sfs as when/if I decide to use this ...

:D Im just curious how to get video thumbnails in pcmanfm? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PCManFM#Thumbnail_support says: PCManFM supports image thumbnails out of the box. However, in order to view thumbnails of other file types, PCManFM uses the information provided in the files located at /u...

Wireless drivers have been a problem for me on archpup, alphaOS and the new alphaOS based on arch again. I had to track down my drivers from a puppy that worked and kind of dirty hack them onto the old archpup and alphaOS. Truthfully, this OS that simargl is working on is amazing! I would be using i...

What would Firefox do for me that Opera cannot? My usual OS is Lucid Puppy 5.28-005. Sheldon, If you are happy with Opera you can go on using it but there will be no updates to classic Opera. Consequently, over a period of time as web design standards develop it may not work properly on some sites....

Re: Some small flaws to fix
Chrome: I understand that the lighter (faster but older) kernel of Carolina can not work with new chromium browsers so a surrogate is available. But: most chrome extensions do not work anymore in this version. So I hope that somebody ever will discover a workaround... This is the deal breaker for m...

Yes, the sync can bring your extensions with you also. That is main point for me, as I have alot of extensions and its incredibly unpractical to install them all by hand again. I do keep some bookmarks as well. As far as the console message goes, theres a few things in there, but nothing that seems ...

Beta 2.1 still has driver issues. Needs zd1211rw wireless drivers. Beta 1 has the drivers and works just fine. Great puplet, I love it! I have borked a number of savefiles trying to work out a few things though. Wireless, I'm also one of those having trouble getting wireless to work. I tracked it down by myself and figured out what drivers are needed by using Lxpup, which detected my wireless out of the box....
