Oh my 1 hour? That's terrible battery life! You should take a look @ one of the links I shared concerning 6 cell and 9 cell batteries. Pretty inexpensive as well. I found some reviews about the 9 cell on Amazon. People are reporting 12 hours of batt life but let's push it down to 9 hours to be safe....

@TomRhymer You have the same netbook?? What other problems have you had with it when using Puppy? I plan to put 4.3.1 on it. I've been looking @ battery upgrades for it as well and have come across these so far: 9 Cell @ $40 http://cgi.ebay.com/9-cell-BATTERY-4-ACER-Aspire-One-A150X-D150-D250-BLACK_...

Did you say something about the boot flag in GParted not being present? If this is so, you should probably right click on the partition, ie FAT32 or NTFS, and delete it. Then click Apply. After that, right click on it again and New then choose FAT16 or FAT32. It'll say error @ first but then try it ...

I formatted it to NTFS then FAT32 then proceeded to add the boot and lba check marks. I already added the boot one before but what is the lba for? Anyhow, it still did not work. If it's any help, I noticed that the mp3 player is not seen as mounted when I start up my laptop. Even though it is plugge...

I had an old one that was 1GB MP3 Player which was Transcend. It worked perfectly! But after a few years, the left side of the speakers won't work anymore. :( So now I am on the lookout for a new one. This Centon Craze would be perfect if it worked! It's 8GB and it has playlist ability! My old one d...

Aw man.. well thanks for your help anyways! But I was wondering, why won't it work? What's the root of the problem? My Cruzer Micro 8GB Flash Drive works, why won't this Centon Craze 8GB Flash Drive work? Perhaps, someone can buy it as well and try to make it work? http://www.amazon.com/Centon...

Oh wait okay so.. instead of doing that I did this: I deleted the partition using Gparted. Tried formatting it to FAT32, giving me an error. Did it a second time, asking me if I wanted to create a partition table mdos or something so I said yes. So now it's not in Superfloppy mode! Yay but after the...

Installing on 8GB MP3 Player/Flash Drive
I'm having a bit of trouble installing to a Centon Craze 8GB MP3 player I recently purchased. It is formatted to FAT32 and whenever I use the Puppy Universal installer it says there is no MBR and it installs in Superfloppy mode? I tried running grub in console and putting in root (hd1, 0). The outpu...

What version of Catalyst do I use for my ATI Radeon Mobility x700? I'm using 2.6.30.5 kernel. I recommend that you try Patriot's ati driver first. Mark's is a big boy (around 30 MB if I remember.) Just make sure you can go back if it doesn't work for you. One way to do that would be to boot from li...
