Alien Kernel 64 bit
I thought I'd try something off the wall here and see what would happen: I have puppy 3.0 installed on a 3 GB partition (0,1) on my main rig (P4 dual core 64 bit). I was getting NOWHERE trying to build a 64bit kernel in puppy. Kept complaining about the 64 bit options. So, I went a different directi...

Halfmeg, Are you still working on a 64bit SMP puppy? If so, What has been accomplished so far? I'm interested in doing the same thing but not including most of the apps as it appears you are. I'm planning on my build to be for folding at home only. So,I'd like to just keep the desktop (JWM probably)...

Some questions about scripts in remastered Puppy
I'm working on making a remaster of puppy 3.0. to add stanford university's folding at home project to it. Right now I'm at the point of getting the scripts I want to add written and working. What I plan is for the scripts to check if puppy is booting from CD or from an "installed media" a...

Is puppy's kernel smp capable?
Just wondering if the 2.6 kernel that puppy (i386) uses is smp capable.
If not, can I get my "paws" on a smp kernel that will run under puppy?

3.0 installed on HD, won't boot
I just tried to install puppy 3.0 on a 80GB ATA 100 IDE drive with a 1GB swap partition and the rest as ext2. puppy seems to copy over all files, installs grub and creates the menu.lst etc.... This CD works fine in my laptop with a 20 GB hard drive, so I assume that the 80Gb drive *shouldn't be the ...
